Marlene Jo Faught, a beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and caring friend, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025, in Longview, Washington. Born on November 19, 1939, Marlene filled her years with laughter, love, and an unshakeable bond with her family.

As a homemaker and dedicated janitor for the city of Longview, Marlene embodied a true spirit of hard work and dedication. Much of her joy came from nurturing her family, who stood as the center of her world. She is survived by her loving husband, Tommy Faught, who shared countless adventures and memories with her, including their travels to far-off places like China and Egypt—experiences she treasured deeply.

Marlene's love blossomed in her role as a mother to her daughters, Terry (Steve) Adams, Tammy Lucas, and Kelly Fritz, and her sons, Danny Lucas and Allen Lucas. Each child held a special place in her heart, and she delighted in sharing life’s little moments with them. Additionally, she embraced her role as a stepmother to Cheryl (Jerry) Grimes, Barbara (Jim) Foytack, and Paul Faughter, extending her circle of love even wider.

She was a proud grandmother to Natasha Amant, Jason Adams, Nikki Fritz, Troy Fritz, Nathan Paridise, and Kayla Paridise, each bringing a sparkle to her eye. Marlene was particularly blessed to witness the next generation of her family, known as great-grandkids, including Ellianna Adams, Connor Amant, Hudson Adams, Jerome, Nevealt, Latoya, and Carson, who will carry her love forward.

Marlene’s hobbies mirrored her vibrant spirit; she found joy in gardening, antiquing, shopping, and even took delight in acting as the backseat driver in her husband's plane. She exemplified a zest for life, filled with enthusiasm for exploring the world around her.

She is also survived by her sisters, Phyllis Westervelt and Cheryl Ylonen, who shared in her many joys and challenges. Marlene treasured her friendships, especially with her special friend, Dorothy Roulette, and remained grateful for all the neighbors on U Pl who took the time to visit or bring food during both happy and difficult times.

Marlene Jo Faught will be remembered for her unwavering love, her joyful laughter, and her kind heart. Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched and the family she so dearly cherished. She will be profoundly missed but forever held close in the hearts of those she loved.
