Hannah May Coleman-Hanson, born May 12, 2006, in Longview, Washington, brought a bright and joyful energy into the world that was impossible to miss. She passed away on October 27, 2025, in Portland, Oregon, leaving behind a legacy filled with love, laughter, and an unforgettable spark.

Hannah had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and loved. Her kind heart and natural empathy drew others to her, and her warmth could light up even the quietest room. She approached life with determination and heart—once she set her mind to something, she followed through with persistence and pride. This spirit carried her to graduate with honors from Kelso High School and continue her journey through the STEPS program.

A passionate athlete and proud participant in Special Olympics, Hannah truly found her stride on the lanes. Bowling was her favorite, earning her a Letterman Patch and a place in the Working Girls Bowling League, where she formed lasting friendships and joyful memories. She also participated in soccer and basketball, embracing every opportunity to be part of a team and community. She also found connection, encouragement, and lasting friendships through the youth group at Longview Church of the Nazarene, which became a meaningful part of her life.

Hannah’s personality shined through in everything she loved. She enjoyed horror movies, music, and video editing, often expressing her creativity in fun and unique ways. She treasured simple, happy moments—playing Roblox with her sisters, snacking on pickles and hot chips, and spending time with the people she loved most. Her beloved pets, Bailey and Lila, were constant companions and an important part of her world.

Family meant everything to Hannah. She is survived by her loving family, including her father and stepmother, John Hanson Jr. and Deanne Hanson of Kelso, Washington; her mother, Danielle Coleman of Longview, Washington; and her sisters, Jadyn, Evelynn, and Makenzie Hanson, all of Kelso, Washington. Her grandparents, Becky and John Hanson Sr., reside in Kelso, as do numerous cousins: Brandon Eastridge, Shyanne Ellsworth, Tasha Willet, Chase Willet, Rylee Ragsdale, Justina and Sarub Giri, along with second cousins Jaxson, Leo, Valerie, Octavia, Dawson, and Zarick. Hannah was also cherished by her grandparents Ivan Ragsdale, Susan Bailey, and Tanya in Idaho; aunt Malinda Ellsworth, aunts and uncles Ann and Terry Shadle of Longview; Randy and Carey Coleman of Cathlamet, Washington; Beth and Jaime Schlarb of Kelso; as well as Denae and Joshua Adams. Her extended family network reflects the wide circle of caring and community that embraced her. Among her dearest friends were Kaitryn Saxton, Maddie Kinsey, and Kaylyn Dillinger, along with their families, from Kelso and Longview.

She is joined in heaven with loved ones whom she cherished dearly, including her uncles Wes Ragsdale and Doug Peak; Cousin Elden Ragsdale, grandparents Trish Schoonover, Dennis Frisk, and Rod Coleman; great-grandfather Boone Wynn; and her cherished pets Auto, Roxy, Daisy, and Makayla, whom Hannah has full custody of now.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 12, 2026 at 1pm, at Steele Chapel, 5050 Mount Solo Road in Longview, Washington. A potluck style luncheon is to follow. All who knew and loved Hannah are invited to gather, share memories, and honor the beautiful life she lived.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Hannah’s name to Raise for Rowyn, supporting families facing the loss of a child, or to the Special Olympics of Washington—causes that reflect her compassionate and generous spirit.

Though her time here was far too short, Hannah’s joy, strength, and love will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her. Her light lives on—in every laugh, every memory, and every moment of kindness shared in her honor.
